Hibiscusilikem.

That's the German name of this flower, I say.
I like this plant and it's mine. This isn't the kind of Hibiscus you would use to make tea, however. I'll have that one at a later date, and we shall have a tea partea.

The Passion.

This flower surprises everyone who sees it. Sarah M. calls it her favorite, Portland Nursery made it its emblem, Eva delighted in its layered design and Deborah mistook it for a funky plastic decoration. When I first saw it, I thought it was incredible. But now, the longer I look at it, the more creeped out I get, Man. It's like a freaky alien trying to take over the world: go up close and check out all its weirdo pods and vining patterns some time. As nutty as the flower itself, I tell you.

Yes, you heard me correctly Miss Ashley Jarrett.

A few hours spent this morning tearing up a lawn in preparation for a family's edible garden. Part of a totally rockin' rad weekend-long permaculture-principled event called Gardens Of Gratitude.
